Heather earned her Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Mercer University and is licensed in the state of Georgia as an Associate Professional Counselor (APC). She is also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). Heather has always been passionate about helping others and previously worked as a case manager for adults with developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries. She believes in treating all of her clients as individuals with unique needs, strengths, and goals. Her clinical interests include trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, and the mind-body connection. Heather uses a down-to-earth, holistic approach to help adolescents and adults build their self-awareness and take steps toward living more healthy, fulfilling lives. In addition to serving non-disabled clients, Heather’s educational background and work experience allow her to effectively support clients with chronic illnesses and disabilities. Heather is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the American Rehabilitation Counseling Association (ARCA). She is currently under the supervision of Dr. Susanne Thurber.
