About Me

David served as a Combat Medic in the United States Army for 8 years where he fostered his interest in serving others. David holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work and Minor in Addiction Studies from the University of South Dakota, as well as a Master’s in Clinical Social work with a focus on Veteran’s studies from the University of Southern California.

 

David utilizes a combination of Strengths Based Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy,  Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Healthy Lifestyle Coaching, Goal Setting,  Rapport Building, and Active Listening to help clients identify the issues they feel are holding them back most from achieving a fulfilling life. After which, the client can work together with David to come up with a plan of action that will lead toward positive change and fulfillment.

 

David has experience working with adolescents, Veterans, men, and women.

 

In his personal time, David likes to spend time with his wife in nature camping and hiking. David also enjoys martial arts and fitness.

 

David is under the supervision of Cristina Lorenz-Hansen MSW, LCSW
