About Me

Jasmine recently received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental
Health Counseling from Radford University, where she also received her
Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Women's Gender
Studies in 2020. Jasmine easily interacts with clients and individuals in
their family and community networks, allowing her to provide
impactful therapy to her clients. In addition to creating a safe space for
her clients, Jasmine also creates an open and inclusive environment that
is specifically tailored to meet the needs of each unique client. She is
open to new counseling ideas and techniques, as indicated by her
growing passion for play therapy. Her openness to embrace new ideas
and techniques empowers her to personalize treatment plans for her
clients' overall health.
Jasmine has experience working with both young children and teens.
She has experience using Child-Centered Play Therapy with young
children to help them establish self-esteem, comprehend emotions,
resolve internal conflicts, and play through traumatic experiences.
Jasmine is also extremely passionate in counseling teens and adults
using a variety of modalities, including but not limited to person-
centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, and creative expression. Her
primary aim is to encourage clients to identify and achieve goals, as well
as to develop skills that they may use in their everyday life. She is
excited to earn her counseling licensure and work directly under the
supervision of Dr. Amanda Slaughter.
