About me
Amber received her BA in Psychology from Columbia College in 2021 and her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty in 2023. Amber has worked in the Non-profit sector for more than a decade, working closely with vulnerable populations such as homeless pregnant women and youth in foster care. She is passionate about working with those who have experienced childhood trauma and relational challenges, helping clients identify personal strengths, gain insight, and achieve their goals. She believes healing is facilitated through genuine dialogue in a collaborative therapeutic alliance.
Amber’s counseling approach integrates Adlerian and Attachment theories with trauma-informed care. Amber utilizes creative expressive interventions and is willing to integrate a biblical worldview when the client desires. Amber is a certified SYMBIS Assessment Facilitator and recently received her National Certified Counselor Credential. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Association for Creativity in Counseling, and the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology. Amber is under the Clinical Supervision of Dr. Susanne Thurber.
