Darlena Cochran

Masters Level Intern

Focus: Adolescents & Adults

About Me

Darlena earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis on Christian Counseling in 2019 and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She plans on chasing her dream of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor upon graduating in December 2022. Her interests of therapy include Narrative Therapy, CBT, and solution-focused approaches in addition to building a strong foundational therapeutic alliance.

Darlena is ardent about giving others a voice to their story and the courage to tell it. She aims to view each client through a holistic lens and believes that mental health not only includes mind, but body, soul, and spirit as well. Her passions include telling others about the healing properties of nature, mindfulness and being creative through art. When working with clients, Darlena desires to meet with those struggling with trauma, grief, and anxiety and wishes to become certified in EMDR therapy.

She is currently an intern for Family Counseling Associates of North Georgia and is under the supervision of Cristina.
