About me

Rachel received her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. She previously graduated from the University of Richmond with a BA in English and journalism. Rachel is a nationally certified counselor and licensed professional counselor. She plans to also pursue certification as a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) under the supervision of Dr. Amanda Slaughter. Rachel is the Family Team Lead Coordinator and oversees the Family
Counseling Program. She is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and families. Subjects of clinical focus are generalized anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, self-esteem, identity, and family conflict. Rachel believes in a holistic, strengths-based approach. Outside of providing counseling, Rachel enjoys playing in a community orchestra, writing poetry, and exploring walking trails.
