Julia Bedell Counseling Intern

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Georgia College & State University in 2024 and am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marshall University. I will be working under the supervision of Dr. Amanda Slaughter.

My passion lies in supporting children and adolescents who are navigating anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where young people can explore their identity, process emotions, and feel truly heard. By integrating person-centered therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and play therapy, my goal is to foster resilience, encourage growth, and empower children and teens to create positive change in their lives. I believe that seeking help is the first brave step toward healing, and I am committed to walking alongside clients as they take that step and continue on their journey toward healing, hope, and wellness.
