Della Hightower, M.Div., LPC, CPCS

Della is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Florida State University and a Masters of Divinity in Psychology and Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couples, family, and group therapy. Della primarily uses Solution Focused, Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies to meet the unique needs of the client, but is also experienced in many other therapeutic modalities. She has extensive experience with women's issues, crisis counseling, children and adolescent concerns, parenting, and family struggles. Della has experience working with children all along the developmental spectrum.  She has experience helping with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, psychosis, and other issues that affect our ability to live joyfully.  Della uses both cognitive and behavioral modifications to equip clients in achieving positive change in their lives.  She provides families in crisis with assessments and a safety plan including recommendations for treatment. Della is willing to bring a Christian worldview to the counseling session when the client desires. She is currently providing Clinical Supervision to clinicians not yet licensed.
