About Me
Candace holds a master’s degree from Tulane University in clinical social work as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Mobile. Candace specializes in working with individuals who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety and depression related to interpersonal difficulties, major life changes or stressors, and abuse/trauma. She is passionate about the intersection of traditional cognitive-behavioral therapies with somatic-expressive therapies that engage the nervous system to encourage emotional regulation, stress-reduction and improved coping skills. She uses psycho-educational approaches and trauma-informed modalities in her work with clients to empower and support them on their journey to wellness. Candace is under the supervision of Cristina Lorenz-Hansen.
