Gracyn Jennings, M.Ed., APC, NCC

Gracyn received her B.S. in psychological science at the University of North Georgia in 2019. She received a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling at Auburn University in August 2022. Gracyn is passionate about providing authentic and compassionate care to create a safe and acceptable environment to adults and adolescents.

She has experience working with individuals who have and are experiencing trauma, depression, suicidal ideation, interpersonal relationships problems, and anxiety. She also has experience working in the hospital setting with children and adults who experience severe mental illness, personality disorders, and psychosis. Through this experience she learned that often those who need support the most often don't have access to effective resources to maintain a happy, healthy, and well-balanced life. She gained a passion for working with individuals with severe mental illness and advocate for those who do not have access to the resources they need to maintain mental and physical wellness.

Gracyn’s theoretical orientation is integrative in nature, pulling in elements from person centered theory, internal family systems, and CBT. She uses an integrative approach to therapy because each individual needs differing supports for their presenting problems, which might change throughout the therapeutic process. Having an integrative approach has allowed Gracyn to adapt to the unique needs of the individuals she serves. Gracyn is under supervision of Dr. Thurber.
