About Me
Adacelis (Ada) Perez Cole is a graduate of Mercer University. She holds an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is pursuing her licensure. Before working as a mental health counselor she had worked in public relations and strategic communications, as a certified life coach, and as a volunteer at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church, and at the Saint Thomas the Apostle parish in Smyrna. Ada has a passion for helping individuals strengthen their personal relationships through a humanistic approach, where exploration can lead to attaining self-acceptance, wholeness, and healing.
As a family counselor, Ada plans to build upon her previous work in mindful parenting, focusing on mindfulness-based stress-reduction techniques. She has been trained in multicultural issues as they relate to counseling and is eager to offer support to adolescents, adults, and families who may struggle with life stressors including parental stress, co-parenting challenges, and anxiety disorders.
Ada is a member of the American Counseling Association. She is fluent in English and Spanish, and she is the mother of a 12-year old son. As a paid intern at Family Counseling Associates of North Georgia, she reports to Dr. Susanne Thurber.
