Focus: Adolescents, Adults and Families

About Me

Adacelis (Ada) Perez Cole is pursuing her graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling at Mercer University following an extensive corporate career in strategic communications. Most recently, she has worked as a certified life coach, a volunteer at the Sandy Springs United Methodist Church, and as a medical assistant at Children’s Wellness Center. Ada has a passion for helping individuals strengthen their personal relationships through a humanistic approach, where exploration can lead to attaining self-acceptance, wholeness, and healing.

After graduating in the fall of 2022, Ada plans to build upon her previous work in mindful parenting, focusing on mindfulness-based stress-reduction techniques, and EMDR. She has been trained in multicultural issues as they relate to counseling and is eager to offer support to adolescents, adults, and families who may struggle with life stressors including parental stress, co-parenting challenges, and anxiety disorders.

Ada is a member of the American Counseling Association. She is fluent in English and Spanish, and she is the mother of an 11-year old son. As an intern at Family Counseling Associates of North Georgia, she reports to Mrs. Cristina Lorenz-Hansen.
