My Story
Shannon has completed licensure requirements and received her LPC in November 2022 and is a Nationally Certified Counselor. She is currently working toward certification as a Registered Play Therapist under the supervision of Dr. Amanda Slaughter. Shannon received her Specialist degree in Guidance and Counseling from University of West Georgia in July 2007. Previously, she studied Public and Social Services at Kennesaw State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in 1998 and her Master’s in Guidance and Counseling in 2004 from the University of West Georgia. Shannon had experience working in the school system as a Professional School Counselor for 13 years.
She is passionate about working with children and adolescents and has experience working with individuals with challenges including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma and stress management.
