
Veronica McClanahan Counseling Intern
Veronica earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of North Georgia and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Richmont Graduate University.
She has a heart for working with children and brings many years of experience in this area, particularly with children who have neurodevelopmental delays such as autism, ADHD, and more. Her background includes roles in various music education environments and as a neurodevelopmental provider at Jacob’s Ladder in Roswell, GA. She is deeply committed to supporting children and their families as they navigate physical and emotional challenges. She blends creativity, structure, and empathy into her clinical work. And is passionate about using an Adlerian approach, especially in play therapy, to help children gain insight into their behaviors, build self-confidence, and experience a sense of belonging and significance. Veronica is dedicated to honoring each child’s current stage of growth and experiences using imaginative and developmentally appropriate interventions that support their journey. She is also driven by a desire to ensure every child feels seen, heard, and supported—emotionally, spiritually, and developmentally.
She is currently under the supervision of Dr. Amanda Slaughter Ed.D, LPC, RPT-S, CPCS.
