Rafaela Divefalos MS

Rafaela received her bachelor of science in psychology from Kennesaw State University in 2019 and her master of science in clinical mental health counseling from Mercer University in 2023. Rafaela is currently working towards receiving her Associate Professional Counselor licensure and plans to be a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. She plans on getting her PsyD in clinical psychology with a special focus on obsessive-compulsive disorder and other related disorders. Originally from Greece, Rafaela has an appreciation for traveling and getting to know people through language, food, art, and culture. Rafaela strives to create a safe and welcoming environment for all teens and adults of various backgrounds and cultures.
Rafaela has experience working with adults, and older adults in an inpatient hospitalization with severe psychiatric disorders, and in private practice, with children, teens, and adults dealing with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and stress. She utilizes a person-centered approach and pulls from a collection of theories in DBT, ACT, and CBT. Rafaela enjoys using creative approaches such as art or music that are specifically tailored to each client. Rafaela believes that each individual is unique and that we all need someone in our corner to listen and accept us as we are without judgment. Rafaela is under supervision with Della Hightower.
