About Me

Laura holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Emory University in Atlanta.

Laura works from a humanistic experiential orientation, which means she sees therapy as a collaborative, deeply personal process which is grounded in authentic connection. At the heart of her work is the belief that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and self understanding when met with genuine presence, empathy, and acceptance. Laura creates a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can safely explore their emotions, experiences, and relationships. Laura aims to help her clients understand what’s happening beneath the surface and to gently reconnect them to their inner strengths and wisdom so her clients can begin to feel more integrated, more alive, and more aligned with who they truly are.

Laura is a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia (LPCAGA) and the American Counseling Association (ACA). Laura is working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) after having obtained her Associate Professional Counselor (APC) licensure. Laura is supervised by Lauren Greenway LPC, CPCS, MAC, CEDS-C.
