Mariah Eddy Counseling Intern
Mariah Eddy is a graduate student pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University–Idaho. Mariah is fluent in Spanish and can provide counseling services in both English and Spanish.
Mariah takes a client-centered, collaborative approach to therapy, viewing each client as the expert of their own lived experience. She strives to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Her work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and strength-based approaches, helping clients build psychological flexibility, develop self-compassion, and move toward lives aligned with their values.
Mariah believes that meaningful change comes not from eliminating discomfort, but from learning to navigate life’s challenges with greater awareness, resilience, and purpose. She is passionate about helping clients recognize their existing strengths and supporting them as they work toward growth and healing.
About Me
Amy has graduated with her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and is pursuing her Associate Professional Counselor licensure. Amy’s passion is to help others live their best life. She has done this in her work supporting and mentoring military spouses, serving and encouraging moms, mentoring young moms at the local crisis pregnancy center, and mentoring adolescents in the local school system. She believes this starts with a desire to connect with and meet the unique needs of each client. Amy uses a person-centered approach and integrates theories to best match each individual; such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She believes that healing happens through connection. Amy is a member of the America Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors. She plans to pursue a play therapy certification and is under the supervision of Dr. Amanda Slaughter.
