Aly Hopper Counseling Intern
Aly earned her Bachelor's in Sequential Art in 2015 and Master's in Interactive Design and Game Development in 2018, where her passion for visual storytelling and interactive design flourished. Her graduate thesis, on Sensory Gaming for Autism, sparked a deeper interest in the therapeutic potential of creative experiences, ultimately leading me to pursue a Master’s in Art Therapy at Lesley University.
Aly focuses on supporting adolescents and adults with autism and ADHD. Her background includes experience working with individuals with disabilities, developing a strong understanding of sensory needs and communication styles, and believing in remaining flexible and client-centered, adapting techniques and modalities to fit each individual's unique needs and goals.
Art therapy allows for expression beyond words, offering a nonjudgmental space for exploration, self-understanding, growth, and emphasizing collaboration, curiosity, and creativity, aiming to empower clients through visual language and personalized support. Whether through traditional art-making or interactive media, the goal is to help individuals access their inner resources, build self-regulation strategies, and develop meaningful insights through the art therapy process.
