Nicole Lee Counseling Intern

I am a graduate student in the Mental Health Counseling program at the University of Phoenix
with a developing theoretical orientation grounded in person-centered and cognitive behavioral
approaches. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic space where
clients feel heard and empowered. I am especially interested in working with children,
adolescents, families, and individuals facing addiction challenges. I believe in early intervention,
family systems approaches, and helping clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and
behaviors impact daily life functioning.I approach this work with empathy, cultural humility, and a
strengths-based perspective, while helping clients build insight and practical coping skills. As an
intern, I am eager to continue developing my clinical skills through supervision, collaboration,
and ongoing self-reflection.
