Princess Arias Counseling Intern

Princess Arias is a counseling intern at Family Counseling Associates of North Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgia State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University.
Fluent in Spanish, Princess is passionate about providing culturally responsive and inclusive care to individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. Through years of community service and volunteer work, she has witnessed the emotional, relational, and systemic challenges many people face. These experiences inspired her to pursue a career in counseling and to become a source of support, hope, and healing for others.
Princess takes a compassionate, empathetic, and collaborative approach to counseling. She strives to create a safe and welcoming space where clients feel heard, understood, and valued. She believes in helping individuals explore their identity, understand the root of their challenges, develop healthy habits, and build the tools needed to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.
With a heart for service and a deep commitment to emotional wellness, Princess walks alongside her clients with kindness and understanding, empowering them to discover their strengths, grow in confidence, and see the possibilities ahead.
Princess is under the professional supervision of Kentaya Nielly, MS, LPC, CPCS.

About Me

Sue is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).  She earned her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University.  She also holds a Masters degree in education and is a 30 year veteran of the Gwinnett County Public Schools.  She has a passion for helping people heal and embrace their new normal after a loss.  She is a trained Survivor of Suicide (SOS) support group facilitator and advocates for suicide awareness and prevention through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).  Sue is passionate about working with adults and couples going through difficult times and family conflict.  She  finds gratification providing support, resources, and hope to individuals and families going through divorce and blending families.  Sue also provides support for clients going through fertility issues, pregnancies, and postpartum adjustments.  She works with the challenges of anxiety and depression. Sue is a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia (LPCA-GA).
