About Me
Hello, I’m Piper Sandes, a family counseling intern with over four years of experience providing direct care to individuals diagnosed with Autism and other neurological conditions in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Development from the University of Alabama and my Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Capella University.
My therapeutic approach integrates psychodynamic techniques with a strong emphasis on authenticity, ethical practice, and genuine connection. I develop personalized, strengths-based interventions to support each individual’s unique journey toward growth and healing. I am especially passionate about helping families navigate emotional, developmental, and relational challenges.
Under the supervision of Dr. Amanda Slaughter, I am expanding my clinical experience to serve a wider range of clients with compassion and evidence-based care. Supervised by Dr. Amanda Slaughter, Ed.D, LPC, RPT-S, CPCS.
