About Me
Patricia Caprara is pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Divine Mercy University. She graduated from Franciscan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Psychology minor in 1989 and spent three decades raising and educating a large family. Her life experience as a mother and a palliative caregiver taught her to find resilience in adversity. Her strengths-based approach will enable clients to self-identify innate resources. Utilizing Evidence-Based Practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy with an Existential Approach may facilitate a springboard for healing and redirection. Her internship includes a focus on Registered Play Therapy, with the intent to pursue certification. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and is currently pursuing Green Cross Trauma Certification. Patricia is supervised by Dr. Amanda Slaughter at Family Counseling Associates of North Georgia.
