About Me

Susanne has worked in the mental health field for 21 years (licensed for 15 years).  She is licensed as a professional counselor in Texas and Georgia.  Her experience includes working with children, teens, and adults in multiple settings including education, residential treatment, community mental health agencies, and private practice.  She is adept at managing crises and comfortable working with various issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, self harm, interpersonal/relationship struggles.
 

Susanne uses an integrated approach to treatment, basing therapeutic interventions on each client’s clinical needs and personal preferences. She places a high degree of importance on the therapeutic relationship providing a safe space for clients to gain insight, heal, and find happiness.  She believes that instilling real hope is key to therapeutic progress.  

Susanne is trained in evidence-based practices to include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).  Susanne has lived and studied internationally and genuinely enjoys being a therapist, helping people achieve their goals, and improve their lives.  Susanne also loves teaching/training and developing mental health programming.  She speaks Arabic and is a member of the LPC Association of Georgia and American Psychological Association.
